Vulcan's Rest Fibers aspires to being an on-going homebase for local fiber enthusiasts. It is our goal to have people feel welcome if their interest in fiber crafts is at an expert level, as a beginner, or just because they admire beautiful handmade things. We want to inspire and encourage each other to express our creativity, in addition to providing a source of raw materials to do so. Classes and get-togethers are only part of the picture; it's an attitude or feeling of community we strive for.

Vulcan's Rest Fibers is located on the upper Eastern Shore of Maryland in Chesapeake City, beside the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. This tiny Victorian Era town is a
delightful locality: just walking around town in very interesting. Located on the major international shipping channel, we frequently see huge ships pass through the Canal. A Museum about the the Canal is available weekdays. Several fine restaurants, Bed and Breakfast Inns, plus many stores and galleries could expand your visit in town to a full day or a long week end. Chesapeake City is a popular tourist destination for travelers by land or sea.
